智利1名母親生下兒子不久後，醫院告訴她寶寶夭折，41年後才知道兒子當時遭人偷偷抱走出養美國。骨肉團圓時，母子激動萬分地相擁而泣。
語言的隔閡，絲毫沒有阻母子天生的孺慕之情
61歲的雷耶斯（Nelly Reyes）在智利聖地牙哥機場等了好幾小時，她舉著紅色布告牌，上頭寫著「媽媽和家人熱切期盼托利佛（Travis Tolliver）」。
機場航站另一端，準備出關的托利佛只會說英語，擔心語言隔閡讓他顯得有些緊張焦慮。然而托利佛出現在機場大廳的那一刻，語言已是多餘。他立即衝進母親懷裡，兩人緊緊相擁多時、捨不得放開。托利佛滿臉沾著喜悅的淚水。
1973年11月15日，19歲的雷耶斯剛產下寶寶沒多久，就被告知寶寶已經夭折。但是她並沒看到寶寶屍體，醫院也沒開立死亡證明。
沒有人知道是誰帶走托利佛，最後他被美國華盛頓州塔科馬（Tacoma）的一戶家庭收養。
托利佛40歲時決定找到生母，他透過臉書（Facebook）網頁「智利尋找生父母」（Chile AdoptionBirth Family Search），提供必要的相關資訊，結果3到4週就找到了雷耶斯。
